After starting linocut, I experimented with printing on fabric and after a while, I started daydreaming about patches. I’ve always loved the kind of punk, DIY patches, so I really wanted to find I way to implement that into my work. I bought some linen and started printing. And I loved the result! My patches are one of my favourite projects. One of their biggest benefits is the fact that one tiny 10x10 cm square can change the piece of clothing. Since I love thrifting and I love personalising my thrift finds, I thought that it would be a great idea to show people the full capacity of the patches, as well as promote second hand clothing as a great way to go against fast fashion and towards more sustainable living, and what could be the best way to do that, than to have an amazing collaboration with a local thrift master like Stefi from FIKA Second Hand.
You can see her selections here and stay tuned for new up-cycled treasures with added pizzazz with my patches.
Check out our pieces so far. Can’t wait for the next batch.
